Our BEGINNING STRINGS classes are a wonderful and inexpensive way for your child to explore the making of music on the violin, viola, cello, or bass. Each class is one-and-a-half hours and meets for nine Saturdays with our Suzuki Registered Specialists.

Beginning Strings

Our TWINKLERS class is designed for students who have achieved proficiency in their instrumental skills, and earned their bow. While still in the early stages of learning their instrument, these students have successfully mastered the basic fundamentals of left hand posture, and are progressing to acquire proficiency in right hand bow technique. Twinklers include violin, viola, cello, or bass. Each class is one-and-a-half hours and meets for nine Saturdays with our Suzuki Registered Specialists.

Twinklers

Ready Readers

The READY READERS class is tailored for students who have demonstrated proficiency in their instrumental skills and earned their bow. While still in the early stages of their musical journey, these students have mastered the foundational elements of left-hand posture and are advancing toward developing basic music reading skills.

The READY READERS program offers instruction in violin, viola, cello, and bass. Classes are 90 minutes long and take place over nine consecutive Saturdays, led by our Suzuki-registered specialists.

Advanced Beginning Strings

In Advanced Beginning Strings (ABS), our Suzuki Specialists continue the development of these young players’ technique and build music reading skills. There are various ability levels of ABS classes each session, allowing staff to group children by their present skillsets. Thus, most students will take two or three sessions of ABS.

Intermediate String Ensemble

Upon the mastering of Suzuki Book 1 and the completion of Essential Elements, Books 1 & 2 , a student may register for Intermediate Strings Ensemble (ISE). ISE is a strings-only orchestra for children and youth who can read and play multi-part music. Students will continue working on Suzuki Book 2 & 3 while preparing one or two ensemble pieces. Maximum enrollment is 25 players.
