Saginaw Strings has cancelled its Spring Session, due to COVID-19. 2020-2021 SESSIONS: WE MAKE MUSIC! Research shows that MUSIC EDUCATION is ESSENTIAL to a child's early learning experiences. We offer reasonably priced class lessons at a convenient location within the Great Lakes Bay Region. Saginaw Strings is a Suzuki-inspired program with SSA Registered Teachers who teach children and youth, grades 2 through 12, to play VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO, and BASS. We offer various classes to meet your child's current abilities -- from those children who are just getting started, to those children and youth who can read and play music. Saturday classes are held at our home venue, First Presbyterian Church of Saginaw. >> 2020-2021 SESSIONS << Tuition per session is $145. Generous tuition assistance available to all. 2020 FALL: September 26 to November 21 2021 WINTER: January 9 to March 6 2021 SPRING: March 13 to May 15 > Beginning Strings -- 8:45 am to 10:45 am For those students with little or no training. > Advanced Beginning Strings (multiple classes, grouped by ability) | 8:45 am to 10:45 am | & | 11:00 am to 1:00 pm | For beginners who are playing. Music reading skills are introduced while student continues technical development. Check with staff for the time of your child's class. > Intermediate Strings Ensemble -- 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm A strings-only ensemble for children and youth who read music and have developed the ability to play multiple-part music. > NewEnsemble Chamber -- 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm A strings-only chamber ensemble of 4 to 8 advanced youth who are preparing to audition for Saginaw Bay Youth Orchestra.
