 2018-2019 SESSIONS: GRAND MUSIC MAKING ! Are you looking for a musical experience for your child? One that is reasonably priced? And . . . conveniently located within the Great Lakes Bay Region? Then consider Saginaw Strings, a Suzuki-inspired program with SSA Registered Teachers who teach children and youth, grade 2 through 12, to play VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO, and BASS. We offer various classes to meet your child's current abilities -- from those children who just getting started, to those children and youth who can read and play music. Saturday classes are held at our home venue, First Presbyterian Church of Saginaw. >> SPRING CLASSES began March 16. << No classes March 30. | Tuition is $140. | Concert May 18 @ 11 am. Beginning Strings -- 8:45 am to 10:45 am For those students with little or no training. Advanced Beginning Strings (multiple classes grouped by ability) -- 8:45 am to 10:45 am -- 11:00 am to 1:00 pm For beginners who are playing. Music reading skills are introduced while student continues technical development. Check with staff for the time of your child's class. Intermediate Strings Ensemble -- 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm A strings-only ensemble for children and youth who read music and have developed the ability to play multiple-part music. NewEnsemble Chamber -- 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm A strings-only chamber ensemble of 4 to 8 advanced youth who are preparing to audition for Saginaw Bay Youth Orchestra.
